Transit Alert: Escalators Back at Glenmont

8:34 a.m. update: Escalators back online, Metro says.

Earlier this morning: Metro says all the escalators at the Red Line's Glenmont Station are out of service this morning. Metro also lists the station elevators as out of service. (See the systemwide list here.)

The station is still open, and you can use the escalators as stairs, but be careful, because they're not really designed for that. Shuttle bus service has been established, Metro says.
