Tripped Alarm Forces Evacuation at Gallery Place Station
An alarm was tripped in Gallery Place station this afternoon that caused an announcement to be played that there was an emergency and that passengers should evacuation the station shortly before 2 p.m. today. Officials said there was no emergency.
Metro personnel were making manual announcements telling people to disregard the message and that there is no emergency at the station.Operations officials are working at the station to determine what tripped the alarm.
