D.C. Plans to Reopen New Hampshire Ave. for Outbound Rush Hour Traffic
At least two lanes of New Hampshire Ave. between Eastern Ave. and N. Capitol St. are expected to be open for outbound traffic during tonight's rush hour, according to The District Department of Transportation.
One lane was open for inbound traffic this mroning; at 2 p.m., DDOT plans to reverse that lane and open another. Southbound New Hampshire is expected to be closed until 7 p.m.
DDOT says its plans may change and still recommends alternate routes, including:
- Piney Branch Road
- Missouri Avenue
- New York Avenue
- Rhode Island Avenue
- Bladensburg Road
- Riggs Road
- Michigan Avenue
- Georgia Avenue
- 16th Street
- I-295
