One Red Line Train Hit Back of Other, Metro Says

According to Metros spokewoman Lisa Farbstein, the two trains were both headed in the same direction. One rear-ended the other. The female operator of the trailing train died.
"obviously something went terribly wront for two trains to be on the same track," she said.

Dave Satter on Channel 9 says EMS sources say all the people have been removed from the trains. Those sources also tell him 42 people were sent to hospitals--28 of those were "walking wounded." The other 14 were hurt more seriously.
