Traffic Alert: Congestion at 14th Street Bridge

Midday traffic is getting heavy approaching the work zone at the 14th Street Bridge northbound. This is the second Saturday I've seen it this way. The congestion has been more noticeable on weekends than during the weekday rush periods -- based, of course, on one week's experience with the resurfacing project.

Meanwhile, up river at Chain Bridge, the traffic is flowing pretty well on both sides of the Potomac, despite the closing of one of the bridge's three lanes for an eight-month rehab project.

Down at the Wilson Bridge, where I thought drivers might slow to gawk at the newly opened trail on the Beltway's inner loop, the light traffic seems to be moving just fine.
