Update: Richmond Hwy. Reopens in Fairfax County

Richmond Highway has reopened after being shut down in both directions at Russell Road because of wires across the roadway.

Just a point of clarification--for those of us living in Alexandria, the City, this is confusing, as there is a Russell Rd in the City, and it is not near Rte 1. You really should note that this is the Alexandria portion of Fairfax County or state that it is Rte 1 BELOW Alexandria, because this really is not Alexandria. The onnly people who refer to it as such are real estate agents trying to make people think it is near Old Town. Thanks.
