Traffic Alert: Fire Investigation Closes Roads in NW D.C.

Firefighters have closed Chain Bridge Rd. (not the bridge) and Loughboro Rd. in NW D.C. as they investigate an overnight fire. The following changes have been made in area traffic patterns:

  • Loughboro Road between University Terrace and Foxhall Road.
  • Chain Bridge Road between Loughboro Road and McArthur Boulevard.
  • Traffic is being rerouted off of Arizona Boulevard to the alternate routes listed below.

D.C. officials advise motorists to avoid the area and take alternate routes using Foxhall Road, Reservoir Road, Canal Road or McArthur Boulevard. Heavy traffic volumes should be expected. Traffic control officers are on the scene.
