Commuter Alert: Security Exercises on Metro, MARC Trains
Authorities plan to conduct training exercises on MARC and Metro trains and station platforms in Montgomery County today.
From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., police from several county and state departments will simulate the type of response that could be used to detect and prevent a terrorist attack. Also, the Maryland Department of Transportation plans to inspect trucks at undisclosed locations throughout the county as part of the security training.
