HOT Lane Construction to Take Tysons Exit Lane
Another impact on Tysons drivers from the High Occupancy/Toll construction project: One of the two ramp lanes on the Beltway's outer loop at Route 7 is scheduled to be closed from Thursday through Labor Day. The right-hand one will be closed but the left one will remain open.
The Virginia Department of Transportation does not foresee big delays because of that, even though the two collector/distributor lanes just before Leesburg Pike carry about 1,800 vehicles during the morning rush. The closing coincides with vacation season for many commuters.
The construction in that area will involve storm drainage work for the HOT lanes project.
