Overnight Beltway Disruption in Alexandria to Continue
Overhead signs on the Capital Beltway between Van Dorn Street and the Eisenhower Connector will continue to be erected through Tuesday, reducing traffic on the outer loop to one lane from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
The overnight closures are part of the Wilson Bridge project, and the project's managers say motorists who can't use alternate routes should expect delays. Speed limits will be lowered to reduce the likelihood of drivers having to make sudden stops when they encounter traffic snarls. Drivers can plans their trips by using real-time travel speeds available at http://www.wilsonbridge.com.
