VDOT Opens Construction Lanes for Weekend
To ease travel during the Labor Day holiday weekend, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will open those lanes temporarily closed for construction or maintenance on major highways and roads.
The lanes will be open from noon Friday, Sept. 4, until noon Tuesday, Sept. 8. Long-term construction zones with concrete barriers and orange barrels will remain in place.

I was curious if you knew anything about Metro repairs in September and beyond? The WMATA website talks about repairs in August, and listed closings and hours of single tracking for August, but I didn't notice anything about September and beyond. I live near Takoma Station & Fort Totten, and had to take a cab in from Union Station 2 weekends ago b/c I wasn't aware of the stations closing.
