Normal Service Resumes on the Orange and Blue lines
Metro reports that trains are sharing the same track between Smithsonian and Foggy Bottom-GWU stations due to emergency track maintenance. Commuters should expect delays in both directions, the transit agency said, estimating that the duration will be about an hour.
UPDATE (6:11 a.m.): Metro reports that the work has been completed, and service has returned to normal.
