Must to Avoid: Capital Beltway at Tysons Tonight
All lanes of the Capital Beltway at Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) will be shut several times between midnight tonight and 5 a.m. for up to half an hour each time. The closure includes the Beltway ramps to and from Chain Bridge Road.
Starting at 10:30 p.m., the two left lanes on either side of the Beltway will be closed in that area. This map shows the area of the lane closings.
While the lanes are closed, Dominion Virginia Power will be working to relocate overhead power lines for the Dulles Metrorail project.
Also overnight:
The left lane of the westbound Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) between the Idylwood and Magarity Road overpasses approaching Route 123 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday for construction related to the Dulles Metrorail project.
