Headaches on the horizon
Metro Weekend Delays
They start Friday night on the Red and Orange lines. Red Line riders between Friendship Heights and Van Ness should add at least half an hour to their normal travel time from 9:30 p.m. Friday to the train system's midnight closing on Sunday. Orange Line riders between East Falls Church and Ballston should add at least 20 minutes to trips during the same time period.
Tysons Ramp Closing
Crews working on the Dulles Rail project will close the exit ramp from the eastbound Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) to northbound Dolley Madison Boulevard (Route 123) between midnight tonight and 5 a.m. Friday. The workers will be setting barriers along the shoulder of Route 123 to prepare for construction of the elevated rail line.
Detour: Take the ramp to southbound Route 123 and use the traffic signal to get onto the northbound lanes of 123.
