Metrorail Weekend Delays Start Friday Night
As you night owls make your weekend plans, don't set yourself up for a rude awakening when you discover how long it takes to catch a Metro train.
The weekend maintenance program on Metrorail starts at 9:30 p.m. Friday for riders on the Red and Orange lines. If your trip on the Red Line takes you between Medical Center and Grosvenor, add at least 20 minutes to the normal trip time if your traveling between 9:30 p.m. Friday and the midnight closing on Sunday.
During the same time period, Orange Line riders between Cheverly and Stadium-Armory should add at least half an hour to their travel time. In both cases, trains will be sharing the same track to make room for maintenance workers.

They're seriously doing this on the weekend of the Army Ten-Miler?
