Suspicious Package That Closed 18th St. NW Has Been Cleared
D.C. police are about to reopen the 800 block of 18th St. NW, which has been closed for the last 90 minutes because of a suspicious package found in the Starbucks at 801 18th St. NW. Officer Quintin Peterson, a D.C. police spokesman, said that investigators have determined there was nothing hazardous in the bag, and that the normal traffic pattern will resume by the peak of rush hour.
