Holiday schedule affects MTA commuter buses

No buses operate on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, or Friday. On Wednesday, the buses operate on the normal schedule, but there are modifications for the afternoon, because the MTA expects many people will leave work early. Some trips are being doubled up. On those, the second bus will start its trip five minutes after the first bus's regularly scheduled departure time.

[Note to Brunswick Line riders: MARC 871 will not operate on Wednesday, the MTA says.]

These are the bus routes involved in service changes on Wednesday afternoon:

Route 901 - Trips 44, 49, 53, and 59 will not operate. Instead, three buses will run trip 31 (midday). Two buses each will run trips 32 and 33, making all regularly scheduled stops.

Route 902 - Trips 30 and 33 will not operate. Instead, two buses each will run trips 18 (midday) and 19, making all regularly scheduled stops.

Route 904 - Trips 23 and 25 will not operate. Instead, two buses each will run trips 15(mid-day) and 16. Both of trips 15 and 16 will consolidate at Pindell, with 1 trip each continuing on to North Beach.

Route 905 - Trips 40 and 43 will not operate. Instead, two buses each will run trips 24 (midday) and 25. Both of trips 24 and 25 will consolidate at Charlotte Hall, with one trip each continuing on to California.

Route 915 - Trip 17 will not operate as scheduled. Instead, it will depart M and 8th streets at 1:40 p.m. and will serve the same stops as trip 12.

Route 922 - Trip 17 will not operate as scheduled. Instead, it will depart North Capitol and H streets at 1 p.m., and will make all regularly scheduled stops.

Route 929 - Trips 20 and 23 will not operate. Instead, two buses each will run trips 13 (midday) and 14, making all regularly scheduled stops.

Route 950 - Trip 31 will not operate as scheduled. Instead, it will depart C Street and 21 Street at 1:15 p.m. and will serve the same stops as trip 18.

Route 991 - Trips 24 and 27 will not operate. Instead, two buses each will run trips 17 (midday) and 18. Both of trips 17 and 18 will consolidate at Monocacy, with one trip each continuing on to Hagerstown.

Route 995 - Trips 22 and 26 will operate three hours earlier than scheduled, departing 19th and M streets at 1:35 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Both trips will serve same stops as trip 26.
