Headaches on the horizon
Wilson Bridge project: The Beltway's inner loop will be narrowed to one lane from east of Telegraph Road to the Eisenhower Connector between 10 p.m. Monday and 5 a.m. Tuesday for emergency pothole repairs.
Project managers advise drivers to take alternative routes if possible, because there may be extensive traffic delays.
Douglass Bridge opening: The swing span of the South Capitol Street Bridge is scheduled to open for a few minutes at about 11 a.m. Tuesday to allow a barge to pass along the Anacostia River below. While the delay should not last long, drivers might consider other crossings at the 11th Street, Sousa (Pennsylvania Avenue) or Whitney Young (East Capitol Street) bridges.
