Headaches on the horizon

Beltway HOT lanes
There's a lot of overnight work scheduled for 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Here are the details.
Lanes closed:
-- Two lanes of Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east and west will close at I-495 for bridge work.
-- Three left lanes of I-495 north will close at Lee Highway (Route 29) overpass for steel beam erection.
-- Three lanes of I-495 south (outer loop) will close from Exit 49, I-66 to just beyond Lee Highway (Route 29) for steel beam erection. Expect temporary full outer loop closures here for up to 30 minutes at a time to begin after midnight.
-- Three lanes of I-495 north and south will close at Exit 46, Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) for overhead power line work. Expect temporary full outer loop closures here for up to 30 minutes at a time to begin after midnight.

Road closed:
-- Lee Highway (Route 29) south will close at I-495 for waterline installation. Both directions of traffic will be directed to use northbound lanes of Lee Highway.

Ramps closed
-- I-495 north collector distributor road will close at Exit 54 Braddock Rd. (Route 620) and ramp to Braddock Rd. west will close too for steel beam erection. (I-495 through traffic will be directed to take Exit 54B, Braddock Rd. east, police will direct traffic to u turn and take I-495 north exit. Traffic seeking access to Braddock Rd. west will be directed to take Exit 54B, Braddock Rd. east, police will direct traffic to u turn onto Braddock Rd. west)
-- Ramp from Braddock Rd. (Route 620) east will close to I-495 north for steel beam erection. (Traffic will be directed to continue east on Braddock Rd., make a left onto Backlick Rd., make a left onto Little River Tpke (Route 236) and follow signs to I-495 north.)
-- Ramp from I-66 west will close to I-495 south for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to continue west to Exit 62, Nutley St, stay to the right following signs to I-66 east, take I-495 north exit to Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) stay to the right following signs to I-495 south.
-- Ramp from I-66 east HOV and general purpose ramps to I-495 south will close for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north exit to Exit 47, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) stay to the right following signs to I-495 south.
-- Ramp from I-495 south to Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east Exit 50 will close for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 52, Little River Turnpike (Route 236) east, stay to the right following signs to I-495 north and take Exit 50, Arlington Blvd. (Route 50) east.

Dulles Metrorail construction in Tysons area
These lane overnight lane closings are part of the Dulles Metrorail construction.
-- A single lane of I-66 west will close between Haycock Blvd. and Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) or equipment movement and excavation.
-- A single lane of I-66 east will close from the Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) to Great Falls St. for barrier movement and excavation.
-- A single lane of Westpark Dr. will close from Greensboro Dr. to Leesburg Pike. (Route 7) for utility work.
-- A single lane of Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east will close from Spring Hill Rd. to Marshall's Dr. for utility work.

Nice Bridge work postponed
Because of the high winds, the northbound lane closure and alternating traffic scheduled from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday has been postponed. The Maryland Transportation Authority will set another date for the new traffic pattern for northbound motorists.
