Metro Delays Could Impact Airport Travelers

Metro is reporting delays from Crystal City in both directions due to a sick customer on a train there. Trains are sharing the same track between Pentagon City and Braddock Road. The single-tracking and delays in both directions on the yellow and blue lines is especially notable for anybody flying out of Reagan today -- factor this in if you're leaving for a flight anytime in the very near future.

8:05 A.M. UPDATE: While the earlier situation at Crystal City has been dealt with, delays remain in both directions on the yellow and blue lines from that station.

Besides the shameful way Metro deals with "sick passengers" single tracking between Pentagon City and Braddock Road is plain crazy. They can turn trains around at the airport. There's three tracks there.
