New highway interchange opens in Frederick
From the Associated Press: Gov. Martin O'Malley is joining local officials in Frederick for the grand opening of a new highway interchange that creates a faster connection between Interstate 70 and the city's downtown area.
The exit is at state Route 85, also known as East Street.
The ceremony Monday marks completion of a $107 million project that is designed to ease congestion and improve access to the downtown MARC train station.
