Plan your trip using NextBus

If you're heading out into the cold to a bus stop, use Metro's NextBus service to find out when the next bus will arrive. Bus service is operating slower because of the region's record snowfall, and some routes are still closed. Wait times could be a guessing game, but NextBus uses GPS technology, so it will give you some sense of what your wait will be.

Log on to the NextBus Web site, or call 202-637-7000, and say "next bus" when prompted. Enter your bus stop number and bus route number, and you should receive an estimate of the arrival time of the next bus at your stop.
