Take Metrobus to BWI or Dulles
Reagan National may be the only airport served by the subway system, but travelers can take Metro buses to both Dulles and BWI.
If you're headed to BWI, take Metrorail's Green Line to Greenbelt Station. From there, the B30 bus will take you to BWI for $3.10 ($3 if you use a SmarTrip card). Metro plans to provide service every 20 minutes from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Additional trips will be available from the airport to Greenbelt Station on Monday.
To reach Dulles, you have two options: You can take the Orange Line to the West Falls Church-VT/UVA Station and then take the Washington Flyer ($10 one way, $18 round trip) to the airport. The second option is to take the 5A Metrobus from the L'Enfant Plaza or Rossyln rail stations, for $3.10 ($3 if you use a SmarTrip card). The 5A will operate every 15 to 20 minutes from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Saturday, the 5A will run every 30 minutes from noon to 11 p.m.
