Headaches on the horizon

Roads may be icy
The Capital Weather Gang says light rain and sleet will arrive by mid-to-late Thursday evening. Though temperatures may not drop much below freezing overnight, some travel troubles, especially north and west of I-95, are possible by morning. Road crews are out to treat the surfaces. Stay back from their equipment and don't try to pass.

Metro says the trains will operate normally on Friday morning, but there may be some delays and detours in the buses if the roads are icy.

Beltway HOT lanes construction
All work has been canceled for Thursday night.

Dulles Metrorail construction
All night time closures have been canceled.

Metro nightly track work
Red Line: From 8 p.m. to the midnight Thursday, add at least 20 minutes to normal travel time between Medical Center and Grosvenor.

Blue Line: From 9:30 p.m. to the midnight close, add at least a half hour to normal travel time between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road.
