Pair of Beltway accidents in Maryland this morning

6:30 A.M. UPDATE: And now it's just the right merge lane closed on I-495.

6:20 A.M. UPDATE: Down to one lane closure on I-495 (and the right merge lane still remains closed).

6:15 A.M. UPDATE: The I-95 accident has been cleared up, with all lanes reopened. Two lanes remain closed on I-495 at MD 97.

ORIGINAL POST: Two accidents on the Beltway in Maryland have caused lane closures as we head into the morning commute. The accidents occurred on opposite sides of the Beltway, so delays can be expected for people in both areas:

-- I-495 Inner Loop at Georgia Avenue/MD 97
In Montgomery County, an accident has closed two of four inner loop lanes (and the right merge lane). Just minutes ago, three of four lanes were closed.

-- I-95 Inner Loop at Indian Head Highway/MD 210
In Prince George's, a multi-vehicle accident has closed two of five inner loop lanes (as well as one of the shoulders).
