Red Line delays on Washington Metro's Red Line
Update (2:48 p.m.): Metro is still reporting residual delays on the Red Line, affecting service in both directions. The latest bus and service disruptions are available here.
Original post: Red Line delays that have affected much of the eastern half of the Metro system Monday afternoon should begin clearing.
Taryn McNeil, a Metro spokeswoman, said a switch problem at Silver Spring caused delays, and trains were using one track through the area while crews worked to resolve the problem, which has been repaired. However, residual delays continue.
