Water main break closes University Blvd eastbound in Silver Spring

Update (10:15 .m.): Traffic cameras show that the all lanes are now open.

Via the Post Now blog: A 12-inch water main break has closed all eastbound lanes of University Boulevard between Piney Branch and Carrol Avenue, as well as both eastbound shoulders.

This highly utilized road is just over a mile from the Beltway, so delays are going to build up and be expected through the morning rush.
