Bus detours finally lifted
Today marks a minor milestone for commuters and travelers in the region: This is the first commute since Feb. 4 that Metrobus is up and running without a single delay reported on their Web site. Not a single reported delay! It took 19 days and multiple snowfalls before this could happen. Right up through yesterday afternoon, lingering snow and mounds of ice were causing some buses to make small route adjustments or run on snow emergency routes. (Though, as Dr. Gridlock noted yesterday when the delays were first/finally lifted, this could change at any time.)
So enjoy it. Bask. Take a bus all the way through a route, just for fun. Or, if your commute has been screwed up since the snow, just take solace in having your regular route back.
