Canal Road and Metrobus issues

As you hit the road this morning, some lingering issues remain due to the snow still piled up in the region:

8:05 A.M. UPDATE:
Further bus route changes, via Metro:
17G, 17H, 17L, 2T, 9S, E6, U5, U6, U8 - These routes are operating the Snow Emergency Route as of 7 a.m. this morning.

7:40 A.M. UPDATE:
And another pair of bus route changes from Metro, which keeps 'em coming this morning:
-- D14 is bypassing Haras Place and operating via Brinkley Road
-- D12 is bypassing Glassmanor Loop and operating via Indian Head Highway to Livingston Road.

7 A.M. UPDATE:
Metrobus has added another route change: J2 is bypassing Medical Center and continuing on South Drive.

6:20 A.M. UPDATE:
Metrobus added another route change owing to the snow: V14, V15 are bypassing Seat Pleasant Drive and Addison Road as of 5 a.m. this morning. Metrobus is operating via M.L.K. to Hill Road.

Canal Road Lane Malfunction
The electronic signals telling drivers which lanes to use on Canal Road are still malfunctioning, according to the District Department of Transportation. Crews are using heavy equipment to reach wires buried beneath the snow. Until they fix this, drivers should continue to use these lane configurations between Chain Bridge and Arizona Avenue:

-- 6:15 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Two lanes inbound and one lane outbound.
-- All other times: One lane inbound and two lanes outbound.

Metrobus

These are the most recent limited services Metro announced for some bus routes; all are lingering from Wednesday into Thursday and are subject to change:

-- 52: Bypassing 12th Street and Maryland Avenue SW. Operating via Independence Avenue to 6th Street SW.
-- 36: Bypassing Hillcrest. Operating via Branch Avenue.
-- M4: Bypassing Military Road and 30th Place NW. Operating via Nebraska Avenue.
-- 18P,18S: Bypassing Oak Leather neighborhood. Operating via Burke Center Parkway, to Burke Lake Road to Shiplett Boulevard.
-- N8: Bypassing Glover Park. Continuing Cathedral Avenue to New Mexico Avenue NW.
-- E2,E4: Bypassing 30th Place NW. Continuing Connecticut Avenue.
-- V7,V9: Cutting back at L'Enfant Plaza.
-- F8: Bypassing Lebanon Street Service Roadway. Operating via University Boulevard to Merrimac Drive.
-- 17G,17H,17L,18R,2T,3T,9S,C12,E6,G8,U5,U6,U8: Snow emergency route service.
-- 16B,16J: Bypassing Culmore, operating via Glen Carlyn Drive.
-- P12: Bypassing Deal Drive.
-- G2: Route is cutting back at Wisconsin Avenue and Dumbarton Street NW.
-- D1,D2: Route is cutting back at 35th Street and Whitehaven Parkway NW.
