Crystal City lanes reopen

The water main break in Crystal City wreaked havoc on quite a few commutes yesterday. But some good news: all lanes of Jefferson Davis Highway/U.S. 1 have reopened. Arlington County crews had finished repairing the two water main breaks on Jefferson Davis Highway, while repairs continued last night on the third water main break on South Eads Street.

The bus detours yesterday -- Routes 23A and 23C detouring between Jefferson Davis Highway and 23rd Street; routes 9A and 9E detouring between 23rd Street and Jefferson Davis Highway -- are still listed on Metro's Web site, and it's unclear at this time if they are still being detoured. We will update that when we have more information. UPDATE: The detours were lifted.
