Beltway HOT lanes
These closings are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. through 5 a.m.
Lanes closed
-- Two lanes of Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) west will close at I-495 for bridge work.
-- A right lane will close on Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west from George C. Marshall Drive to I-495 for bridge work.
-- A left turn lane will close on Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Lisle Road for drilling work.
Ramps closed
-- The collector distributor road on I-495 south at Exit 50, Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) and ramp from I-495 south to Exit 50B, Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) east will close for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 52B, Little River Turnpike (Route 236) stay to the right following signs for I-495 north and take Exit 50B, Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) east.
-- Ramp from Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) west to I-495 south will close for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to I-495 north and take Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west; stay to the right following signs to I-495 south.
Metrorail extension
These lane closings also are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
-- A right lane will close on Gosnell Road south at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) for utility work.
-- A right turn lane and right lane of Dolley Madison Boulevard (Route 123) south between Scotts Crossing Road and Capital One Drive will close for utility work.
14th Street NW
The District Department of Transportation plans to begin a three-week paving project in Columbia Heights on Friday. It will start in the center lanes on northbound 14th Street from Park Road to Monroe Street NW.
Construction crews will begin placing concrete traffic barriers after 9 a.m.to cordon off the work area. A single lane of traffic will be maintained at all times, in both directions. Motorists should be aware of transitions and lane changes. The Metrobus stop at Park Road and 14th Street will be relocated temporarily to north of Monroe Street.
