Headaches on the horizon
Metrorail night work
Red Line riders between Medical Center and Friendship Heights should add at least half an hour to their normal travel time from 10 p.m. through the midnight closing Wednesday and Thursday. Trains will be sharing a single track between the stations while workers replace old rail fasteners to stabilize the tracks.
This is part of Metro's continuing work on the Red Line between Medical Center and Grosvenor, which involves replacement of aging track fasteners, track, crossties and insulators.
