8:50 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Traffic is terrible on I-495 North leading to I-66.

-- The disabled vehicle on I-495 Inner Loop before Clara Barton Parkway has been moved.

-- A disabled vehicle on the 2600 block of Virginia Avenue in Northwest -- a.k.a. in front of the Watergate, adjacent to Rock Creek Parkway and a highly congested area -- is going to cause delays there.

-- The fire department activity in the 5700 block of 5th Street in Northwest continues, so avoid the area.

8:20 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident in Dupont Circle is slowing traffic on the right side of the roadway in the circle at P Street; avoid the circle if you can.

-- A disabled vehicle on I-495 Inner Loop before Clara Barton Parkway is going to cause delays.

-- Police and fire activity in the 5700 block of 5th Street in Northwest could slow traffic, so avoid that area.

-- A disabled vehicle on I-495 North at Arlington Boulevard has closed the left shoulder and might cause delays.

-- Traffic is heavily building on I-495 North leading to I-66.

-- Traffic is also heavy on I-395 North.

-- There's a disabled vehicle on the I-495 Inner Loop at Georgia Avenue southbound. Expect potential delays.

7:05 A.M. UPDATE:

-- There's big congestion on I-495 North after Gallows Road.

-- The I-95 Inner Loop accident at New Hampshire Avenue has cleared up.

-- The Foggy Bottom Metro escalators are still out.

6:40 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on I-95 Inner Loop at New Hampshire Avenue has closed two inner loop lanes and one of the shoulders.

-- I-66 East backups are beginning at Sudley Road.

6:20 A.M. UPDATE:

-- There's a disabled vehicle on I-495 North at Arlington Boulevard, but it's on the right shoulder.

-- The VRE Fredericksburg Line has a lot of congestion, which might result in delays to train No. 300 (scheduled to depart Fredericksburg at 5:15 a.m.) and train no. 302 (scheduled to depart Fredericksburg at 5:45 a.m.).

-- All entrance escalators are out of service at the Foggy Bottom station.

-- A single-car accident on I-495 Outer Loop at River Road has closed one of the outer loop shoulders.
