Small plane flips on landing
Maryland State Police say a small plane flipped over as it made an emergency landing at the Monocacy National Battlefield near Frederick.
State Police spokesman Cpl. Todd Hill says it happened about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. He says the plane lost power and had to set down in the field.
Hill says the craft hit a curb, bounced and flipped over.
The pilot bumped her mouth and sustained a slight injury. Hill says a passenger was not hurt.
The Frederick News-Post reported that the aircraft was a Cessna 182 Skylane.
