Suitland ramp at 295 reopens

7:55 p.m. Update: DDOT reports that the tractor-trailer has been removed from the ramp and the ramp has reopened.

4:45 p.m. Update: DDOT officials said they expect the ramp to "remain blocked for some time."

4:05 p.m. Update: Traffic reporting services say the tractor trailer overturned.

Original post: District Department of Transportation officials say that a tractor-trailer accident on the ramp from eastbound Suitland Parkway to northbound 295 is causing delays.

Officials expect delays to be significant and urge drivers to use an alternate route.
