An emergency landing at DCA
A U.S. Airways flight en route to Reagan National Airport from Boston made an emergency landing at National Monday afternoon after encountering minor mechanical problems, aviation officials said.
The problem caused "minor delays" for outgoing flights on the tarmac, said Rob Yingling, spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which runs the airport.
The flight, US Airways 2035, landed at 2:30 p.m. and taxied to the gate, airline spokesman Todd Lehmacher said. He did not know the nature of the problem the Airbus A-319 encountered.
