Grants for upgrades at Easton Airport
Easton Airport has received two federal grants totaling $1.5 million for repairs and upgrades.
The money from the U.S. Department of Transportation will be used to replace and widen a tarmac; install a new drainage system under the tarmac; and trees will be cut to proper height requirements.
Work could begin as soon as next week and is expected to be finished by the end of the summer. Operations at the airport will not be affected.
