Headaches on the horizon

Beltway HOT lanes
These closings are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Thursday through 5 a.m. Friday.
Lanes closed
-- Two left lanes of Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) east and west will intermittently close at I-495 for bridge work.
-- The right lane will be closed on I-495 south at Chain Bridge Road (Route 123), Exit 46, for ramp alignment and barrier placement.

Road closed
-- I-495 west (inner loop) will close at Exit 169 B/A Springfield Franconia (Route 644) for steel beam erection. Through traffic will be directed to take Exit 170 to I-395 north to Exit 2B, Edsall Road west, then stay to the right following signs for I-395 south to Exit 1C and onto I-495 north (inner loop).

Ramps closed
-- The ramp from I-495 South to Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) south will be closed. Traffic headed to Route 123 south will continue on I-495 South to Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 North to Exit 46A, Route 123 South.
-- The ramp from Route 123 south to I-495 south will be closed. Traffic heading to I-495 south will be directed to International Drive south to Route 7 east to I-495 south.

Old Dominion Drive
The 6100 block of Old Dominion Drive will go down to one lane and be closed intermittently from 8 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday for repairs. Flaggers will direct traffic.

MTA commuter bus 901
The Maryland Transit Administration has this warning for Route 901 riders: On Friday, two rows at the Route 301 park and ride area will be blocked off for construction work. The full lot will be available again Monday.
