I-395 North slow at Duke St

Here's a look at some of the headaches facing commuters this morning:

8:45 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on MD 198 East at I-95 in Laurel is blocking one eastbound lane and one of the shoulders.

-- The Outer Loop lanes have been reopened from the earlier accident.

-- A disabled vehicle on I-495 North at Braddock Road is blocking the left shoulder.

-- Delays remain on I-395 North and I-66 East.

-- MARC Brunswick Line train 880 is running 15 minutes late in getting to Gaithersburg because of speed restrictions.

8:20 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on I-95/Outer Loop before Ritchie Marlboro Road is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.

-- I-95 North remains backed up before the Springfield Interchange. Ditto I-66 East at Nutley Street and I-395 North at the 14th Street Bridge.

8 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Traffic remains backed up on I-395 North at the 14th Street Bridge.

-- Traffic is also backed up on I-95 North just before the Springfield Interchange.

-- Delays continue on the rest of I-395 North as well as on I-66 East (at Nutley Street) and I-495 North (at I-66).

7:35 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Congestion is pretty bad on I-95 North before Lorton and before the Beltway.

-- Traffic continues on I-66 East, with backups at Nutley Street being particularly bad.

-- A disabled vehicle is still blocking the right shoulder of I-495 South at the Leesburg Pike.

-- The accident on I-495 South near the Springfield Interchange is no longer blocking the left shoulder.

7:15 A.M. UPDATE:

-- An accident on I-495 South near the Springfield Interchange is blocking the left shoulder.

-- A disabled vehicle on I-495 South at the Leesburg Pike is blocking the right shoulder.

-- I-395 North is bad at several spots, but congestion at the 14th Street Bridge is getting pretty backed up.

6:55 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Delays remain on I-395 North, I-66 East and I-95 North.

-- MARC Brunswick Line trains are delayed for 10 to 12 minutes between the Point of Rocks and Rockville stations because of speed restrictions.

6:35 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Traffic is slow on I-66 East at the usual spots: Chain Bridge Road and, further west, Sudley Road.

-- I-395 North is still slow from King Street to the Beltway.

ORIGINAL POST:

-- I-395 North is congested from Duke Street back to the Beltway.

-- I-95 North is congested in Lorton.

-- And again, the Mount Vernon Square Metro station has reopened. All Metrobus and Circulator routes are running without detours.
