Traffic stalled at 14th St Bridge

Today has potential to be another rainy day. Here's a look at other potential issues and headaches for commuters this morning:

8:35 A.M. UPDATE:

-- The Outer Loop shoulder has reopened at New Hampshire Avenue.

-- An accident on I-395 North at Duke Street is blocking the left lane, so expect delays to build up between the Springfield Interchange and Duke Street.

-- I-495 North remains congested at I-66.

-- And I-395 North is still slow at the 14th Street Bridge.

8:15 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Traffic is very backed up on I-66 West at Sycamore Street in Arlington.

-- There are also backups on I-66 East at the Beltway.

-- I-395 North is slow at Glebe Road.

-- An accident on I-495/Outer Loop at New Hampshire Avenue is blocking one of the Outer Loop shoulders.

7:55 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Traffic is backed up on I-95 North/the Beltway leading to Telegraph Road.

-- An accident on I-495 South at I-66 is blocking the right shoulder and could cause some delays.

-- There's still congestion on I-66 East before Cedar Lane.

-- On I-395 North, there's still congestion at the 14th Street Bridge. It's eased up slightly since earlier this morning, when two lanes were blocked and backups stretched out in Virginia under the dawning sun, but there is still congestion and backups.

7:30 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Traffic is backed up on I-495 North at I-66.

-- A disabled vehicle on I-95 North/the Beltway after the Telegraph Road exit is blocking the right shoulder.

7:05 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Congestion remains on I-395 North at the 14th Street Bridge. Avoid if at all possible.

-- There's also congestion on I-495 North at Gallows Road.

-- I-66 East is backed up before Cedar Lane.

6:45 A.M. UPDATE:

-- Major delays continue on I-395 North at the 14th Street Bridge.

-- An accident on I-395 North at Glebe Road is blocking the left shoulder.

-- There's bad congestion on I-95 North leading up to the Springfield Interchange. Expect big delays if you're in that area.

6:20 A.M. UPDATE:
Traffic is even more backed up on I-395 North leading to the 14th Street Bridge. The lanes are no longer blocked, but the backups and congestion remain.

6 A.M. UPDATE:
The accident on I-395 North is causing backups of up to two miles right now.
