Pedestrian struck, slowing Route 1
A pedestrian was struck near the intersection of Route 1 and Cherry Hill Road this afternoon, snarling traffic on the arteries in College Park just ahead of the evening commute, a fire official confirmed.
The condition of the victim is unknown, but the incident occurred about the same time another pedestrian was struck a few miles south on Route 1, at Florida and Rhode Island avenues NE.
