Bay Bridge backups expected
Authorities are cautioning drivers who plan to use the Chesapeake Bay Bridge this weekend to expect unusually heavy traffic caused by SpringFest in Ocean City and several other activities scheduled on the Eastern Shore.
The Maryland Transportation Authority encouraged crossings at off-peak hours -- generally early morning or overnight -- to avoid congestion. For current traffic conditions on the bridge, call 1-877-229-7726 or view live traffic cameras at baybridge.com.
