I-66 ramp to Beltway blocked
9:05 A.M.UPDATE:
-- A tractor trailer accident on I-66 East is blocking the left side of the ramp from I-66 to I-495 North. Expect delays for the already crowded traffic hub. (Traffic is already backed up on I-66 East leading to the Beltway, and this obviously won't help.)
-- The disabled vehicle is still on I-95/Outer Loop before Ritchie Marlboro Road.
8:40 A.M. UPDATE:
-- The debris on the road has been cleared from I-95/Outer Loop.
-- However, there is a disabled vehicle on I-95/Outer Loop before Ritchie Marlboro Road. So there might still be Outer Loop delays.
-- I-66 East is still congested heading to the Beltway, but it's decreased a bit.
-- I-495 North is congested leading to Gallows Road.
-- And the first half of I-395 North remains congested.
-- I-95 North remains slow heading towards the Springfield Interchange, so anybody taking that route onto I-395 North should expect delays.
8:20 A.M. UPDATE:
-- There's still debris in the road on I-95/Outer Loop after U.S. 50, but no reported lane closures yet.
-- The delays remain on I-395 North (King Street back to the Springfield Interchange), I-95 North (leading up to the Springfield Interchange and I-66 East (heading to the Beltway).
7:55 A.M. UPDATE:
-- Debris in the road on I-95/Outer Loop after U.S. 50 could slow Outer Loop traffic, so expect possible delays.
-- A disabled vehicle is blocking the right shoulder of I-95 North in the reversible lane in Lorton.
-- Traffic is backed up on I-95 North approaching the Springfield Interchange.
-- Delays remain on I-395 North.
7:35 A.M. UPDATE:
-- I-395 North is still heavily congested from the Springfield Interchange to King Street.
-- There's also traffic on I-495 North heading towards Gallows Road. The disabled vehicle has been moved.
-- I-66 East remains slow.
-- An accident on I-495/Outer Loop at Riggs Road might cause some delays.
7:10 A.M. UPDATE:
-- I-66 East is very slow leading up to the Beltway.
-- A disabled vehicle on I-495 North is blocking the right shoulder at Gallows Road.
-- I-395 North is still very slow.
6:50 A.M. UPDATE:
-- There's major congestion on I-395 North at King Street, stretching back to the Springfield Interchange.
-- I-66 East is very, very backed up leading towards the Beltway.
-- The disabled vehicles have been cleared from I-495 North.
--The Outer Loop lane has reopened.
-- The MD 295 South accident has been cleared.
6:30 A.M. UPDATE:
-- A disabled vehicle is blocking the right shoulder of I-495 North at Braddock Road, so expect delays.
-- A disabled vehicle is also blocking the right shoulder of I-495 North shortly after the G.W. Parkway, so expect possible delays there as well.
-- An accident on I-95/Outer Loop to the south of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway is blocking one Outer Loop lane and one of the shoulders.
-- An accident on MD 295 South at Riverdale Road could slow southbound traffic.
