Emergency exercise at Dulles
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority will conduct an emergency preparedness drill at Dulles International Airport Saturday from 9 a.m. to about noon.
The exercise will simulate an aircraft accident and test emergency operations at Dulles, while providing training for airport and emergency crews.
Officials said there will be many emergency vehicles operating near Routes 28 and 50 near Dulles, and smoke may be visible. It will all be part of the exercise, they said.
