10 a.m. Update: A witness reports that police have closed several streets in the area.
Original post: Unusual for this time of morning, traffic cameras are showing heavy volume along Connecticut Avenue NW, especially around Calvert Street and Cathedral Avenue. Expect delays if you are traveling in the area.
