Green Line delays
Here's a look at the headaches facing commuters this morning:
8:55 A.M. UPDATE:
-- The Blue Line delays have been lifted...
-- ...but now there are Green Line delays in both directions. The delays are owing to an earlier situation at the Southern Avenue station, which has been resolved.
8:35 A.M. UPDATE:
-- There are Blue Line delays heading towards Largo Town Center due to a train malfunction outside the Van Dorn Street station.
-- Both shoulders remain closed on I-95 South at Telegraph Road.
-- I-395 North remains congested, as does I-66 East.
8:15 A.M. UPDATE:
-- I-66 East remains backed up at Sudley and Nutley.
-- I-66 West is backed up at Sycamore Street.
-- I-395 North is still very slow and congested.
7:55 A.M. UPDATE:
-- Traffic is still very bad on I-395 North, particularly at the 14th Street Bridge.
-- I-495 North is slow leading to I-66.
7:35 A.M. UPDATE:
-- The accident on I-495/Outer Loop has been cleared.
-- I-395 North remains really backed up at several spots between the Springfield Interchange and the 14th Street Bridge.
-- I-495 North is backed up at Arlington Boulevard.
-- I-66 East remains backed up at Nutley and Sudley.
-- An accident on I-95 South at Telegraph Road is blocking the left and right shoulders.
7:10 A.M. UPDATE:
-- The Red Line delays have been cleared up.
-- I-66 East is slow at Nutley Street and Sudley Road.
-- I-395 North is slow at the 14th Street Bridge, Seminary Road and Duke Street.
-- An accident on I-495/Outer Loop past Connecticut Avenue/MD 650 is blocking one of the Outer Loop shoulders.
6:50 A.M. UPDATE:
-- There are Red Line delays in both directions stemming from the Farragut North station. An earlier situation there was resolved, but the delays remain.
-- The Green and Yellow Line delays have been lifted.
-- I-395 North is very congested at Seminary Road.
6:30 A.M. UPDATE:
The earlier train malfunction has been resolved, but delays remain in both directions on the Green and Yellow Lines.
6:15 A.M. UPDATE:
-- Delays on the Green and Yellow Lines in both directions due to a train malfunction at Fort Totten. Trains are sharing the same track between the Fort Totten and Georgia Avenue stations.
-- The disabled vehicle has been moved from I-395 South at Glebe Road.
ORIGINAL POST:
-- A disabled vehicle is blocking the right shoulder of I-395 South at Glebe Road.
-- A single car accident on I-495/Inner Loop at the ramp to I-95 North in Prince George's County doesn't appear to be blocking any lanes, but be wary of possible delays.
