Roads quiet after storm
After a night of thunderstorms and hail, drivers are hitting the road again and heading to work. Here's a look at some of the headaches on the roads:
8:40 A.M. UPDATE:
Another reminder that the roads are still quiet.
8:10 A.M. UPDATE:
The roads are still quiet. Are people staying home and planning on taking off early for the holiday weekend? Or are people just trying to avoid this morning's follow-up rainstorms? In any event, it's pretty quiet out there.
7:45 A.M. UPDATE:
The accident on I-395 North has been cleared.
7:25 A.M. UPDATE:
An accident on I-395 North shortly after the Springfield Interchange is blocking the right shoulder. Possible delays could slow traffic in and around the Interchange.
7 A.M. UPDATE:
Still quiet on the roads around the region. Seeing or hearing anything different? Sound off in the comments below.
6:35 A.M. UPDATE:
The sky is gray and foreboding, but the roads seem fairly quiet right now. Not trying to jinx you commuters or anything, but at this moment that's how it appears.
6:15 A.M. UPDATE:
-- The lanes on I-66 West have reopened.
-- The shoulder on I-495/Inner Loop after Connecticut Avenue has also reopened.
-- And the I-95 South lanes have reopened.
