MARC service changes

The next phase of Amtrak's track work project means these changes for MARC's Penn Line riders will take effect Monday:

-- Train 408 will leave Washington five minutes earlier, at 7:37 a.m. That means it will be scheduled to reach Seabrook six minutes earlier, Bowie State eight minutes earlier, and Odenton through West Baltimore nine minutes earlier.
-- Train 410 will leave Washington and all stations to Baltimore 15 minutes earlier, at 8:25 a.m.
-- Train 416 will leave Washington and all stations to Baltimore 10 minutes later, at 10:40 a.m.
-- Train 530 will leave Baltimore and all stations to Perryville five minutes earlier, at 5:14 p.m.
-- Train 450 will leave Washington at 5:15 p.m. and New Carrollton at 5:25 p.m.
-- Train 436 will leave Washington five minutes earlier, at 5:30 p.m., and New Carrollton through BWI Marshall Airport four minutes earlier.
-- Train 538 will leave Washington and all stations to Perryville three minutes later, at 6:13 p.m.
-- Train 440 will leave Washington and all stations to Baltimore three minutes earlier, at 6:37 p.m.
-- Train 417 will leave Baltimore and all stations to Washington seven minutes later, at 8:17 a.m.
-- Train 419 will leave Baltimore and all stations to Washington nine minutes later, at 9:14 a.m.
-- Train 521 will leave Perryville at 9:01 a.m., which is the current departure time, but it will leave Baltimore and all stations to Washington five minutes later than now.
-- BWI Marshall Airport becomes an "L" stop (train may leave up to five minutes early) on trains 428, 534 and 440.
-- Amtrak Train 188 will leave Washington five minutes later, at 7:15 p.m., and leave five minutes later at all stops en route to Aberdeen.

Be careful: Penn Line trains between Washington and Baltimore operating from 4 to 7 p.m. may use the opposite track at stations. Listen for announcements. The regular platforms will be used between Baltimore and Perryville.

Comments

This notice indicates that train 408 will leave 5 minutes earlier, at 7:37. That means that previously, the train left at 7:42. However, a look at the official schedule now shows that the train will leave at 7:32.

Therefore, the sentence should have read, "Train 408, which normally leaves at 7:37 a.m., will now leave Washington five minutes earlier, at 7:32 a.m.
