Pedestrian killed near Lewes, Del.
State police say a 70-year-old man died after being struck by a car while walking in the bus lane of Del. 1 near Lewes.
Sgt. Walter Newton says Alan Hedlund of Lewes was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on Wednesday evening. He says Hedlund was wearing dark clothing and wasn't carrying a light.
No charges have been filed. The road was closed for two hours after the accident.
