MARC ticket and train issues

7:45 A.M. UPDATE:

Lest you think the Penn Line riders are having all of the problems this morning: Brunswick Line train 876 is running between 20 and 25 minutes late due to a communication issue, the Maryland Transit Administration reports.

7:30 A.M. UPDATE:

MARC Penn Line train 402 is canceled, as reported earlier. Trains 506 and 521 will operate as normal between Perryville and Washington in both directions, according to the Maryland Transit Administration.

7:05 A.M. UPDATE:

Another hitch for MARC riders. Penn Line train 402 to Baltimore has been canceled due to a mechanical problem. Penn North train 521 was also canceled between Perryville and Baltimore; Amtrak train 183 will make the Penn North stops.

For MARC riders getting on the train at the Halethorpe station: The ticket machine at this station is out of service, according to the Maryland Transit Administration. One way and round trip tickets can be bought on the train without the $3 dollar surcharge (cash only, and they accept no bills larger than $20 dollars). While technicians have been called, the machine might not be repaired by this morning's commute.
